"We were talking about police control and the need to review police control regulations," said Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia, Parliamentary Secretary Natia Mezvrishvili after the meeting between the Interior Minister and NGO representatives.

Representatives of non-governmental organizations requested answers from the Minister of Internal Affairs over the recent cases. Giorgi Gakharia met with representatives of up to 10 Georgian and international NGOs behind closed doors.

According to Natia Mezvrishvili, they discussed the structural reform of the MIA at the meeting.
Natia Mezvrishvili also noted that the third sector representatives at the meeting with the minister discussed the case of poet Zviad Ratiani.
