""Whom the President will pardon does not depend on recommendation letter, this is his exclusive right," - said Eka Beselia, a member of the parliamentary majority.

According to Beselia, she is not responsible for the pardon of Irakli Koridze, convicted of smuggling of large quantities of Subutex.

Beselia says that according to the procedure the Parliament sends letters to the president"s administration, but the decision is exclusive right only of the president. Accordingly, she said that the President should make explanations on this issue.
