US Assistant Secretary of State on European and Eurasian Affairs met with the President of Georgia

US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Wess Mitchell met with Giorgi Margvelashvili in the President"s Palace.

At the meeting, they discussed  the US Support Act and specific initiatives of the President aimed at deepening relations between the two partner countries.

"The main topic, naturally, was about the further development of Georgia-US relations. What can be done to further deepen these relationships and more intensification. Our cooperation is of utmost importance in developing issues such as Georgia"s defense capabilities, economic ties and economic cooperation and a wide range of cooperation that exists in the agenda of our bilateral relations. Naturally, NATO"s future summit was discussed as well, " -Tengiz Pkhaladze, Secretary of Foreign Affairs of Georgia said.
