The President of the European Commission arrived in Georgia.

Jean-Claude Junker is in Georgia for the first time and will take part in the events dedicated to the country"s Independence Day.

As it is already known, the President of the European Commission arrived in Georgia by invitation of President Giorgi Margvelashvili.

He was met at the airport by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Vakhtang Makharoblishvili and the head of the president"s administration Giorgi Abashishvili.
