"Emigrants are contacted by the UNM in the name of the consulate and asked to vote for the" Georgian dream "- Sophie Katsarava

The ruling team blames the UNM for spreading misinformation.

At the briefing held at the Georgian Dream office, chairperson of the Foreign Relations Committee said that emigrants residing abroad are called by the UNM in the name of the consulate and asked to vote for the "Georgian
Dream ". Instead, they promise to sort out problems with the immigration documentation.

As to the what interest the National Movement has to urge immigrants to support the Georgian Dream, Sopo Katsarava says that the opposition plans to speculate with this topic. Consequently, it leads to the processes as if the Georgian Dream is trying to bribe voters.

"The National Movement has created special groups in different cities around the world, the so-called microheadquarters, which are contaction our compatriots residing abroad in the name of consulates and embassies, and are deliberately deceiving thempromising to help with legitimazing their stay abroad in exchange of support of the Georgian Dream. In addition, they are spreading false information, as if the consulate have already cast ballot papers in the ballot box instead of them. These groups are promising citizens on behalf of the Consulate that they will be brought to the polling station by cars if they vote for the Georgian Dream. Also, under the motive of registration , citizens are asked thier personal data. Despite the National Movement"s misinformation campaign, we declare with full responsibility that, both inside the country and outside the country, the electoral process is going to be held in a free and democratic environment, "Sopho Katsarava said.

The Georgian Dream has been holding consultations for 12 days. After the first round of the elections, the second round of strategies are being discussed.
