The inauguration of the President of Georgia will be held on December 16. This will happen after the Central Election Commission announces final results of the elections.
Georgia`s the fifth president will be a female and according to the new constitution, she will be the last directly elected leader of the state.
Salome Zourabichvili will have limited powers according to the new constitution.
After the inauguration Zourabichvili will not have an official parliamentary mandate and the CEC will announce mid-term elections in this district.After the inauguration, presidential residence in Avlabari will be closed, as it is already known Zurabishvili will start working in the Palace of Orbeliani. It will be Zurabishvili"s first decision to fulfill Bidzina Ivanishvili"s long- time wish. Giorgi Margvelashvili refused to satisfy Ivanishvili`s desire in this regard.
