The official position of the Georgian Patriarchate has not yet been revealed regarding the autocephaly for the Ukrainian Church. The clergy say that the issue will be discussed at the Holy Synod.
Metropolitan Petre (Tsaava) of Chkondidi , believes that the Holy Synod session should be held in a timely manner, where the Georgian Church will discuss taking of decision."Truth shall reign, because the hand of God is in it, and in the will of the Ukrainian people is the will of God, that is what I think. At the last session of the Synod, the Georgian Church had a logical position, since Tomos was not yet published. Now, I would like to wish that the next Synod session be held as soon as possible , "said Peter Petra (Tsaava).
