"Million Signatures to Change Electoral System" - 20 Opposition Parties Require Proportional Parliamentary Elections

The opposition union addresses the government. 20 political organizations demand a change the majoritarian system into proportional system. The opposition starts collecting signatures. They addressed the Parliament with a special statement today.

Aleksandre Baramidze, a member of Free Democrats said that in 2020 elections should be held according to the proportional system.

Khatuna Samnidze, a chairman of "Republican Party", states that the full opposition spectrum is united around the issue and the only party is Georgian Dream,which thinks that transition to proportional electoral system will be dangerous for the country.
