Tense situation in the village of Maradidi

The situation in the village of Maradidi is tense. The population has gathered at the construction site.

People have blocked the road for heavy equipment and do not allow to continue e construction of HPP building.

The situation has been strained in Maradidi since the river Chorokhi flooded the village two hours ago. Residents say that their houses are in danger and the flooding is caused by the construction of the HPP.

Police are mobilized on the spot.

Turkish company "Adjara Energy" is implementing the construction of Kirnati HPP.
