Current processes in Adjara TV are politically managed - the third sector accuses "Georgian Dream"

Public Defender and the third sector see political motives in the processes taking place in Adjara TV.
According to Nino Lomjaria, the impeachment demand against Natia Kapanadze is politically managed.
The Ombudsman points out that the ruling team is trying to gain influence over the TV recognized as having a neutral editorial policy by the international organizations because the person named by the Georgian Dream quota is against the head of Adjara TV. According to the Public Defender, Natia Kapanadze is threatened and intimidated.
For several days already , two members of the Board initiated impeachment procedure against the Director of Adjara TV. One of these is a person who is a Georgian Dream quota.According to media researchers, the processes are governed by the Georgian Dream, which does not like the free political channel.
Ninia Kakabadze says that the storm against Natia Kapanadze is related to the 2020 elections.Media researchers address three more members of 5-member board of Adjara TV to not participate in the campaign launched against Natia Kapanadze and do not support impeachment procedure.
Despite the criticism of the Public Defender and the civil sector, the Chairman of the Parliament and the members of the ruling team argue that they do not interfere in the processes, they do not watch Adjara TV at all.
Political opponents of the Georgian Dream claim that after the pressure on Rustavi 2 and Iberia the government intends to intensify pressure on the media.
