100 million stolen from 41 thousand bank accounts - the group was led by Georgian citizens

Worldwide scandal and the most resonant recent cybercrime - "Courier" has gained a ruling of the court of United States. According to the case materials, which has not been announced yet, it is clear that two Georgian citizens and their accomplices have stolen 100 million dollars from 41,000 bank accounts worldwide.

"Courier" has identified the names of group leaders - Aleksandre Konovalov and Marat Kazandjyan. The crew of " Courier" was in the house of Konovalov in Varketili.

According to his neighbors, they saw him a few days ago.

Georgia"s Prosecutor"s Office tries to keep in secret, but "Courier" has already found out that Aleksandre Konovalov and his friend Marad Kazandjian are involved in the scandal, both live in Tbilisi .

According to the case material, the citizen of Georgia, Alexander Konovalov, was the leader of the group. He was known under the name " NONE-1" . According to the investigation, he and his accomplices were using the virus, GozNym, to get into computers, steal data and then withdraw money from bank accounts.

Another member of the group, Marat Kazadjyan, has double citizenship - He is a citizen of Georgia and Kazakhstan.

For the last few weeks, all leading banks of Georgia warn their clients to be cautious. It is unknown if it is linked with cybercrime.

In the American court documents, one of the Georgian banks "VTB" is mentioned, from which tens of thousands of dollars were stolen.

Among the detainees are citizens of Georgia, Bulgaria, Moldova and Ukraine. Investigation is still looking for 5 members of the criminal group. They are Russian citizens.
