Work on attaching barbed wire by occupation regime resumes in Gegutiantkari village


The illegal process of attaching the artificial barriers by the occupation forces resumed - reports the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia about the actions of the occupation regime in the village of Geguti.


As the department explains, a hotline has been launched. The Foreign Ministry said the illegal works on the occupation line had a negative impact on the peace talks.
"As soon as the information was received, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs launched all the leverage, which is at its disposal. The hotline within the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanisms was launched immediately.

We have informed the representatives of the international community, including the Co-Chairs of the Geneva International Discussions. The Georgian side emphasized the need for a proper assessment of the ongoing process and the need for the Russian Federation to fulfil its commitments. These illegal activities on the occupation line have a negative impact on the peace talks and further aggravate the situation, which is already grave,”the Foreign Ministry said.
