Russia continues to install barbed wires in the middle of Georgia. On the 11th anniversary of the August war, the occupants target the village of Gugutiantkari. Occupiers install banners, walk with maps and occupy new territories.

Locals say the occupants started work yesterday but did not show up today. According to them, occupation regime officials have added several poles so that no one has prevented them.

" If I could I would sacrifice my life to Georgia. My children are refugees," said a local resident.

Members of the anti-occupation movement "Power is in Unity" are on the scene. As Davit Katsarava says, the poles for instalment of wires are ready.

“As we have learned, the locals tried to defend their yards, the Russians drove the lines in the yards, t they were aggressive and threatened with weapons. We are surprised that there was no response yesterday, our government responded only after the information was spread on the social network, ”Katsarava said.

As the State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality, Ketevan Tsikhelashvili states, the occupation regime suspended its activities.

According to her, the EUMM is aware of the case through the hotline.
