The officers of Kutaisi police division under Imereti, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti Police Department, along with the Central Criminal Police Department and Imereti Division of Special Tasks Department detained person wanted for grave crime.

As a result of special operative activities, law enforcers detained M.Z. (1969), being convicted several times in past.

On October 4, 2018, detainee was charged with murder that took place on the territory of Kutaisi cemetery on September 30 of the same year. The crime envisaged under the article 108 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.

On October 5, M.Z was remanded to custody in absentia and declared as wanted person.

Investigation established that on September 30, 2018, M.Z. murdered G.S. (1974) with a shot made from unregistered “TT” pistol during the confrontation that took place on the territory of Kutaisi cemetery.
