Double standard or pressure on freedom of speech?

Opposition politicians consider the decision of the Ministry of Finance towards “Rustavi 2”, “TV Pirveli” and “Kavkasia” as a threat. According to them the ruling team has a double standard in relations of broadcasting companies.

“We have seen it in Russia many times, when critical television stations are silenced in different ways. We have had many conversations with the US on this issue. They understand very well how the pressure on the media in our country is going”, - said a member of the parliamentary faction European Georgia, Elene Khoshtaria.
