Illegal detention of Vazha Gaprindashvili and such delay in his release once again show clearly the real form of occupation. Such a statement made the Deputy State Minister for Reconciliation and Civil Equality.

According to Lia Gigauri, despite the New Year days, efforts to release doctor Vazha Gaprindashvili will continue.

“We are doing our best to continue our efforts and the State Minister’s Office is involved with relevant agencies and the international community. Despite the New Year days, efforts will not be stopped to do our utmost to return Vazha Gaprindashvili to his family.

As for the lever, it’s the same one we’ve used before. This is pressure by the international community, as well as constant and tireless efforts of the organizations we are cooperating with for 24 hours and who try to exert pressure to achieve that Vazha Gaprindashvili is unconditionally released”, - concluded the Deputy State Minister.
