The murder case in Martvili – the statement of MIA

The officers of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Police Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of immediate operative and investigative activities solved the murder case in Martvili and detained one person - J.N. (1961).

Investigation established that detainee inflicted injuries with a cold steel to his co-villager R.J. on the basis of conflict. Due to the received traumas the victim diet at the place of crime.

Detainee has already pleaded guilty. Police managed to seize the weapon of crime as evidence.

Investigation is in progress on the fact of premeditated murder, article 108 of the Criminal Code of Georgia. The committed crime entails the term of imprisonment from 7 to 15 years.
