What started yesterday was not a surprise to us. Such a statement made Jemal Gamakharia, the Chairman of the Supreme Council of Abkhazia, responds to the ongoing processes in Sokhumi.

According to Gamakharia, we should not expect that the pro-Georgia force will take over Khajimba. He thinks that whoever comes to power in the de facto Government, he will definitely pursue Russian policy

"These events are led not by political parties but by Akhra Avidzba, who is a close relative of the killed criminals. He has repeatedly made a public statement against Khajimba.

Yesterday Aslan Bzhania arrived from Russia, who is now leading the process and said that democratic elections would be held in 2020. We have been watching these developments for a long time now, and it seems like Russia does not support Khajimba. No politician will survive there without the support of Russia. These facts show us that there is no independent Abkhazia, and poverty is the only thing that is developing while being occupied", - said Jemal Gamakharia.
