The agreement between the opposition and the authorities regarding the electoral system is welcomed by the UNDP Resident Representative in Georgia.

According to Louisa Winton, transferring the processes to the Parliament is important.

“We are pleased that some agreement has begun. It was necessary to move the processes to the Parliament instead of street protests. This system will give women a better opportunity to participate in politics”, - said Louisa Winton.
