16 employees of National Bank of Georgia tested positive for COVID-19

According to the National Bank of Georgia, their 16 employees tested positive for COVID-19.


“As it is known, last week 7 employees of the National Bank were confirmed to be infected with coronavirus, the symptoms of other employees who had contact with the mentioned persons were immediately examined and they were tested. According to the current data, the number of infected is 16.


They are being treated at hospital under the supervision of doctors. As for other persons who had contact with the infected, they are in full isolation. Several of them have already tested negative.


National Bank of Georgia, as the principal financial institution, plays a central role in ensuring sound functioning of the financial sector and providing money supply for the economy under any circumstances. The Central Bank pledged to carry out its functions uninterrupted despite coronavirus concerns”, - reads the statement released by the NBG today.
