After two months the opposition parties to resume consultations from today

After two months opposition parties of Georgia will resume talks today. The leaders of the opposition parties will gather at the office of the Labor Party at 2:00pm.

The opposition says that the government has fulfilled only part of the agreement which concerns the model which will be used for the upcoming parliamentary elections, while the ruling party refuses to release Gigi Ugulava, Irakli Okruashvili and Giorgi Rurua per the agreement.

According to one of the leaders of European Georgia Sergi Kapanadze, the government must fulfill the both points of the agreement reached on March 8, and if it does not do it, then an appropriate response will be made.

“We have a lot of issues to discuss. It is important for us that the agreement reached between us and the opposition is fulfilled. The government must fulfill both parts of this agreement. In that case, it would be good for the country. If it does not, of course, it will be necessary to respond. We have already seen what messages are sent from outside the country, as well as from inside the country. We will discuss this strategy and from now on periodical consultations between the opposition parties will continue”, - concluded Sergi Kapanadze.
