Authority of the President will be discussed in the Parliament. Opposition speaks about an attempt to downplay presidential institution.

"The president"s powers are limited, significant leverages are canceled , which he has to influence the state policy. We are having intra-party consultations and will agree on the way in which we can protect our voters interest, "- says a member of the UNM Salome Samadashvili.

The opposition still does not rule out that they may leave the Commission.

"At this stage we will try inside the commission not to give the GD a possibility to destroy the Constitution;, however, if we see that the election system is distorted, or the president"s powers are drastically belittled , which is not consistent with our people`s interests, naturally, we will consider the question of leaving the Commission , "- said a member of the European Georgia, ZurabTchiaberashvili.

The majority consider such decision of the political parties unjustified.

As for the rights of the president, they say, the Commission accepted the recommendation and stated that the rights are not limited.

"It is wrong that the president`s powers are reduced, the President remains with the same mandate as he has today. We have reflected two recommendations of the Venice Commission in the draft, "- said Tamar Chugoshvili.
