The opposition responds to the statement of the Chairman of the Parliament in connection with the Rustavi2 case.

Zurab Tchiaberashvili, a leader of the European Georgia said, Irakli Kobakhidze`s statement that Strasbourg took decision decision under influence of pressure from the president and politicians is a direct evidence that the government has interests in this case.

Critical assessments are made by the National Movement. Party leaders say that the only attempt to influence the decision of the Rustavi 2 case came from the government and a clear example of that was Foreign Minister`s visit to Strasbourg.

"This is a clear demonstration of why this man, should not be Speaker of the Parliament. He has no idea about the basic truths, such as that no one can influence the Strasbourg Court. If someone has tried to do so t was the government, ignorant government, which has sent there its foreign minister, "-Nika Rurua said.
