GYLA speaks about the facts of abuse of power by law enforcers.

According to the representatives of the Georgian Young Lawyers Association, citizen Irakli Khoperia was physically abused in the Vake-Saburtalo police division in February and threatened by planting drugs on him.

Investigation into the fact of torture is under way but Khoperia has not yet been granted a status of a victim. GYLA will appeal to the Prosecutor"s Office with this request today.
