Today the head of the State Security Service Vakhtang Gomelauri delivered his report on the background of confrontations in the parliament. Two incidents have taken place today in the Parliament. The first took polace between a member of the Alliance of Patriots, Emzar Kvitsiani, and representatives of the European Georgia faction, when Kvitsiani threw at lawmakers a pen and a glass full of water. 

The second incident resulted in physical injury of Otar Kakhidze. As is known, the confrontation took place in the room of MPs.
It is reported that the minority representative Giorgi Kandelaki and Vano Zardiashvili, a member of the majority, were arguing.
Vano Zardiashvili made a comment on this issue later. According to him, questions about the details should be asked to those who threw the ashtray. According to the MP, now for him the most important was the health condition of MP Otar Kakhidze

The controversy overshadowed the most important topic of the agenda in the parliament today. Due to incidents, the process of listening to Vakhtang Gomelauri`s report continued in a closed regime.

The head of the State Security came to the Parliament with a 25-page report, but presented a short version of the document to the MPs. The head of the State Security has identified as the country`s main threat the situation in the occupied territories and the Russian military contingent .
