Third sector and Public Defender will participate in Constitutional Commission session

Non-governmental organizations will present an alternative variant to the ruling party tomorrow at the session of the constitutional commission. NGOs proposal regarding proportional distribution of votes will be put on a vote.

The third sector does not see the necessity of  changing the rule of election of the president and demands from the ruling team to leave the possibility of choosing the country`s first person to the voter.

The constitutionalists and experts, who have been working in the Constitutional Commission for months already, agree with the NGO`s demands,. The opinions of NGOs and non-parliamentary opposition on the constitutional amendments are identical.

Part of non-parliamentary opposition will provide information on the constitutional amendments to the Venice Commission. The Public Defender also assesses the work of the Constitutional Commission negatively.

The Public Defender and NGOs will also participate in the session of the Constitutional Commission tomorrow. NGOs will not support changes in the judiciary system and the record on the definition of marriage in the country`s main law.
