The meeting of the representatives of the Georgian Dream with the secretary of the Venice Commission has ended. After a 45-minute meeting Tamar Chugoshvili focused on specific topics.

The First Deputy Chairperson of the Parliament of Georgia, Tamar Chugoshvili noted that the Secretary of the Venice Commission positively assessed the rule of selection of the Supreme Court judges, issue of the Security Council, the absence of the blocks and the 5% threshold.

The First Deputy Chairperson of the Georgian Parliament noted that the new record regarding the President`s powers is acceptable to the Venice Commission and added that the commission positively evaluates the transition to the proportional electoral system.

"I think there are a few issues that may be recommended by the Venice Commission regarsding the formulation ... One of the issues may be the topic of undistributed mandates and possibly the record on the definition of marriage. Let"s see how it will be reflected in the final report , " - said Tamar Chugoshvili.

The members of the European Georgia will meet with the Venice Commission members in 2 hours.
