Irakli Kobakhidze, Speaker of the Parliament spoke about the rule of electing of the president after the meeting with the representatives of the private sector and said that the direct election of the president next year is a kind of political compromise.

However, he explained that if the above compromise loses sense, in this case the proposal will be reviewed.

Kobakhidze also talked about the majoritarian system and said that there was controversy regarding the abovementioned system but the discussions continue and he expressed hope that consensus would be achieved after discussions.
