Lisi Lake Land seized by fraud - four former representatives of Mtskheta district Governor detained

The Investigative Service of the Ministry of Finance has detained four members of the organized group, including the former representative of the Mtskheta Municipality Governor on the fact of swindling the real estate belonging the state.

According to the information, the investigation has determined that the above mentioned individuals, using falsified documents fraudulently swindered 15,000 sq. M. of land.

According to the Investigation Service, as a result of land realization, the defendants gained more than 1 000 000 GEL illegally.

According to the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance, intensive investigative actions continue to reveal other members of the criminal group.

Investigation is in progress under Article 180 (3) (b) of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages from 6 to 9 years of imprisonment.
