According to the representatives of the Civil Platform New Georgia, senior officials of the Tbilisi City Hall have allegedly misappropriated GEL 5 million.

It is about repair of metro wagons for which the city has already spent up to 10 million GEL, but the representatives of New Georgian have now released the documentation provided by the confidential source, which shows that the actual cost of the works is not more than 5 million GEL.

"The confidential source has provided us with excel files, which specifically indicates what is the real value of those repaired wagons, which the City Hall of Tbilisi is so pleased about. The excel files reveal that the total value of two contracts for which the City Hall paid 7 million 499 thousand GEL is actually 3 million 100 thousand GEL. They have pocketed more than 5 million GEL, "- said Giorgi Vashadze.

Accusations are rejected by the City Hall and the repairing factory. According to them, all interested people can check the documentation on the Procurement Agency website.
