Irakli Kobakhidze, the Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia, does not confirm or deny information that Kakha Kaladze will be the candidate for the position of the Tbilisi mayor.

Kobakhidze said at the briefing today that the meeting was held yesterday, but the chairperson of the parliament says that the decision will be taken by the political council.

"The political council makes a decision on nomination of candidates. After a meeting of the political council of the Georgian Dream coalition and the relevant decision is made, we will be able to talk about the candidate`s nominataion. I can confirm that yesterday we discussed this issue and accordingly, we should wait for the political council meeting where the decision will be made regarding the nomination of the candidate. This will happen in the near future and let`s wait, "- Kobakhidze said.
