Brigadier General, Chief of General Staff of Georgian Armed Forces Vladimir Chachibaia responded to the statement made by the officer of the armed forces, Senior Lieutenant Zurab Jibuti, where the Lieutenant speaks about the grave situation in the armed forces.

In an interview with Rustavi 2 Vladimir Chachibaia says that the statement is a deliberate provocation and serves to weaken the armed forces.

According to the head of the General Staff, the information released by the senior lieutenant is secret. Vladimer Chachibaia calls on law enforcement agencies to take an interest in the incident.

Vladimir Chachibaia responds to the statements made by former Defense Minister Dimitri Shashkini.

" When Mr. Dimitri speaks about motivation or functionality of the air defense system, this is unacceptable. We all are insulted and I would like to emphasize why. Today there is a hybrid force in Georgia that fights in a particular case and attempts to weaken the institution that is strong and the most successful in Georgia. I mean the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces. Today we have a problem with regard to the force that is being run by the Russian Federation,"- said Vladimir Chachibaia.
