Russian humanitarian mission in Georgia - opposition calls on government to make a strong response

Russian humanitarian mission`s director Yevgeny Primakov confirms that the Russian humanitarian organization is planning to enter Georgia.

Evgeny Primakov plans to conduct a dialogue in Georgia and carry out projects aimed at education, healthcare and agriculture. However, Primakov does not specify with whom he has a dialogue in Georgia.

Primakov hopes that the Georgian authorities will not create problems for future activities of the organization. Foreign Minister, Mikheil Janelidze, denies the connection with the Russian humanitarian mission.

According to former Defense Minister Tina Khidasheli, the government will not cope with the threats of Russia`s soft power. The opposition believes that Russian soft power is strengthened with the support of the government in Georgia.

The Kremlin Influence Index has been measured in a new research in Georgia. The analysis revealed that Kremlin"s influence after Hungary is the most easily achieved in Georgia. According to the survey, Rustavi 2 has the most pro-western course in the country.

According to experts, research shows that Russia is trying to use all the soft power in Georgia that demonstrates the necessity of clearly defining the course of the government.
