" The Venice Commission has firmly confirmed that the new edition of our constitution is in full compliance with the principles of constitutional law," - the statement has been made by the Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia.

Irakli Kobakhidze has discussed the recommendations of the Venice Commission regarding the amendments to the Constitution at the special briefing. According to the Chairman of the Parliament, the Venice Commission issued more than 20 recommendations, which, as Irakli Kobakhidze says, will be fully considered.

According to him, there are two issues regarding to which the ruling party will hold consultations with experts. He has not specified the issues. However has underlined, that these are not key issues.
