According to preliminary information, around 70 shops are burning in the shopping center of the Poti Market. Some of the sellers managed to save some of their goods. The amount of loss is unknown. Also the cause of the fire. At this stage, the versions are not dscussed.

City Mayor and other local authorities are present at the site. According to them, a special commission will determine the amount of damage.

"The most luxurious part of the market is burning, and I am wondering why all these fires take place all over Georgia," - said Poti Mayor Irakli Kakulia.
