The member of "European Georgia" Otar Kakhidze calls on the government to start a new investigation into the case related to the withdrawal of Vano Merabishvili from prison.

Irakli Kordzaia, former high-ranking official of the Penitentiary and Probation Ministry, stated that "Vano Merabishvili that the high ranking officials were aware of the fact that he was taken away from his cell. According to him, the then Minister of Penitentiary, Sozar Subari, Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili and Chief Prosecutor Otar Partskhaladze were among them. Due to the circumstances, Otar Kakhidze claims that the investigation should be resumed based on the testimony of the witness.
