"For any country, it is very important to successfully overcome international challenges, and the role of diplomacy in this case is very big," Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili said at the opening of the ambassadorial meeting 2017.

The Prime Minister talked about the work of the Georgian Foreign Ministry and the Georgian diplomats and said that in recent years, on the basis of active work, Georgia`s success and reforms were presented on the international arena.

Giorgi Kvirikshvili emphasized the country`s foreign aspirations and said that Georgia is thoroughly in line with European integration, within the Association Agreement and Free Trade Area. According to the Prime Minister, relations with the EU are increasingly deepeninf every year and reach new heights.

Giorgi Kvirikashvili spoke about the development of democracy in the country and said that last year`s election was a clear expression of the democratic environment in the country. He said that it was the election, which unanimously received a positive international response.

The Prime Minister also focused on support from the United States and EU countries. According to Kvirikashvili, the United States supports Georgia`s territorial integrity, which is important for the country.
