Members of the Georgian government evaluate Vladimir Putin"s visit to Abkhazia on August 8 and say that it is a continuation of Russian"s policy and attempts to legitimize occupied territories. According to the Ministers, Georgia should confront if with the support of international partners.

"This is a continuation of the policy pursued by the Russian Federation . We evaluate it as an attempt to violate international law. Consequently, with the assistance of the international society we will continue to male constructive and peace-oriented steps in order to de-occupy our territories, reconcile, restore trust and restore our territorial integrity, "said Minister of Foreign Affairs Mikhail Janelidze.

According to Georgian Defense Minister Levan Izoria, Georgia"s pragmatic policy aims to maintain peace.

According to Ketevan Tsikhelashvili, State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality, Putin"s move is a continuation of the occupation policy.
