A car accident occurred on Kala-Ushguli section. The car drove off the road and fell into the river. One person who was in the car died. The rescue services are mobilized on the ground. Rescuers are trying to get the driver and the car out of the gorge, but it is not yet possible.

As the Ministry of Internal Affairs informed Rustavi 2, the investigation was launched under Article 276 of the Criminal Code of Georgia that implies violation of the traffic safety or exploitation rules.
