The Prosecutor"s Office of Georgia demands Mikheil Saakashvili"s extradition . The official document was received by the Prosecutor"s Office of Ukraine today.

According to the Ukraine’s Deputy Justice Minister Sergei Petukhov , the demand is about searching, detaining and extradition of Mikheil Saakashvili.

"Ukraine has received a search, detention and extradition request for Mikheil Saakashvili, the request of Georgia’s main prosecutor’s office was addressed to the Ukrainian Justice Ministry and the Ukrainian Prosecutor General’s Office," said Sergei Petukhov at the briefing on September 5.

The Ministry of Justice of Ukraine is sure that in case of extradition of the Third President of Georgia, he will not be politically persecuted.
