The Ministry of Economy states that there is nothing alarming in the sharp impairment of the Lari.

They call on the population not have negative expectations.

"We want to advise people not to have these negative expectations, the rate is determined by the market demand and supply. Sometimes it may increase, sometimes it will fall, nothing is alarming at this stage, "- said Nino Javakhadze, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia.
