The ruling team does not intend to make major changes in the new version of the Constitution during the third hearing. Thomas Marketer, the Secretary of the Venice Commission noted today, that according to the information received from the Georgian side, new project may imply changes.
Giorgi Kakhiani, the Chairman of the Parliamentary Procedural Issues and Rules Committee states that the governor"s team has taken into account the remarks sent by the Venice Commission.
" Time, when substantial change could be implemented during the third hearing is over,"- said Giorgi Kakhiani.
Anri Okhanashvili, a member of the faction Georgian Dream, states that he does not know which part of amendments has been mentioned by Thomas Marketer in his statement.
"The preliminary conclusion is known to us and 20 out of 23 observations have been taken into account,"0 said Anri Okhanashvili.
The Venice Commission will publish its report on September 22.
