Incident in the subway - Extraordinary session of the City Council may be held

The extraordinary session of the City Council may be held in connection with the incident in Varketili metro station. A Chairman of the City Council has responded to the opposition"s request. Giorgi Tkemaladze says that the issue will be discussed, however the format remains unknown.

As for the incident in the Varketili metro station the Chairman of the City Council states that it is in Georgian Dream"s interests to determine the perpetrators and punish them according to t law.

The ceiling collapsed yesterday in Varketili metro station. 14 people were injured.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has launched an investigation into the incident under Article 240 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which implies a violation of safety rules in mining, construction or other work
