They do not have any reason not to hand over Archil Tatunashvili"s body to his parents, - US Ambassador Ian Kelly said when commenting on Tatunashvili"s case.
"We do not recognize the new borders and do not recognize the two regions of Georgia independently, we call Russia occupant and, therefore, when you are an occupant, you have your share of responsibility. According to international law, they do not have any reason not to return the body to the family. We support the Government of Georgia in all its efforts to solve this issue. Talks have already been held between the Deputy Secretary of State and the Prime Minister of Georgia, underlining the support of the United States to Georgia,"Ian Kelly said.
According to him, the US has contact with the Russian authorities in order to return the body to the family immediately.
