"Georgian Dream" government is working on the alienation of strategic objects of the country. The State Electricity System maybe be included in the list of privatization objects.

Presumably, the same is true about the Georgian Railway, but the Minister of Economy does not want to discuss the details before the elections. The only thing Kobulia confirmed to "Courier" is the fact of alienation of the Georgian Post.

The opposition suggests that Russia and Bidzina Ivanishvili"s business interests are behind one of the biggest deals. Opponents of the government say that at this stage the government is refraining from the alienation of strategic objects due to the elections.

In case of Russian interests in the Georgian Railways and Energy Sector, specialists in the sector also focus on security issues besides economic losses. The country, which occupied 20 percent of Georgia, will try to use these strategic facilities n its own interests.
