The Ministry of Internal Affairs has launched an investigation into the death of Nika Rurua, the member United National Movement and former Minister of Culture.

According to the MIA, his death is presumably caused by a heart attack.

"The Tbilisi Police Department"s Old Tbilisi Division received a report on December 4 of the current year, that a member of UNM"s political Council, Nika Rurua, the former Minister of Culture died in his apartment (Zandukeli Street N21) in Tbilisi.
According to the primary information, Nika Rurua death is caused by a heart attack.
An Investigation into the incident has been launched under the Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, "the statement reads.
