The EU Ambassador in Georgia made yet another statement on the shortcomings found in the second round of elections. He said that the international community is waiting for the reaction to violations, including the facts on which the investigation has already begun.
"After the discussion with the EU ambassadors and the ambassor of the United States, we have clearlynamed the gaps in both rounds of presidential elections. We are waiting for adequate response now.
The report, which was presented by the OSCE observation mission, should be the starting point. It is also important to recognize what is not functioning properly.We are also looking forward to investigating the violations revealed. The EU will closely monitor these circumstances. We will have regular discussions with the government and the parliament, because both have their own role in resolving these problems, "- said Carl Hartzell, the head of the EU Delegation to Georgia.
