Tamar Zhvania becomes a Chairperson of the Central election Administration. She was elected at the secret ballot for the second term. The majority of the Commission members have supported her candidacy.

Tamar Zhvania was supported by eight members of the commission while one member supported Vladimer Bozhadze.
Mariam Shelegia has not received any votes at all.

The opposition refused to participate in the election of the CEC chairperson. Representatives of UNM and "European Georgia" left the session before the voting in protest.
