Mayor of Tbilisi will spend more than 2 million 700 thousand GEL on New Year events. City Council MP, Levan Khabeishvili, member of the "National Movement" released the information.
According to Khabeishvili, two weeks ago, the National Movement publicized documents according to which New Year events were worth two million GEL, but he said that Kakha Kaladze denied this information and stated that the New Year event would cost only a million GEL. According to him, today it is clear that the Prime Minister will spend 1 million 700 000 GEL on the bonuses of singers from the budget.
"On December 20, the Prime Minister issued a decree, excluding 1 million 700 thousand GEL without a bid to spend a year on the events of Kakhi Kaladze. Most importantly, this decree states that 1 million 758 800 GEL will be spent on the bonuses for singers. If the society is well aware of it we will spend 1 million 700 thousand GEL on singers when 10 thousand children are starving , when 1 million 700 thousand GEL is enough for 4,000 socially vulnerable people to feed them for a year.
"We urge the Mayor of Tbilisi to change this decision and do not let the Tbilisi residents pay tribute to specific singers who served Georgian Dream and Salome Zourabichvili," said Khabeishvili.
