A Former governor of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti is charged. Levan Shonia is accused by the State Security Service of taking bribe .
According to the investigation, in May of 2018, Levan Shonia, the former Governor of Samegrelo-Zemo Svanet received 10 000 USD on the account of a citizen, named by him.
The law enforcers state that the fact is confirmed by many evidences, including testimonies of witnesses, banking and telephone recording.
Investigation into the case is underway on the fact of receiving a gift prohibited by law.
